When I first read the artical on the Student Charged with Rape on Rutherford school bus from the newspaper…I was appalled. It really bothered me that something like this would happen. I was bothered by the fact that the other students sat there and let the young man continue to rape the girl. Why is it that no one spoke up to the bus driver? No one really tried to stop him. There was one boy who tried to converse with the boy, but didn’t try and take action towards it. I also don’t understand how the bus driver didn’t see the boy on top of the girl. She was only 7 rows back. It’s not as if she was towards the very back of the bus. I don’t know which is worse…the fact that the incident happened, or the fact that no one tried to stop it by standing up to this boy and telling the driver. Both are equally are disturbing. Here’s the story…http://dnj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080226/NEWS01/802260323/1002
