Yesterday I received a phone call from a friend saying that one of our High School teachers had passed away. It wasn’t just any teacher though, it was Mr. Madison. He taught the media classes for a number of years and had a huge heart. He loved teaching TV pro. He was good at it and knew what he was talking about. I was so caught off guard when I heard the news. When I look back to high school, his class is the one that sticks out the most. His class was one that it almost became your life because you worked so hard and so much in there. He taught me a lot about work ethics, problem solving, how to embrace starting over when you’ve lost your whole project, how you better be on time when you have him for first period, and so much more. His class benefitted me the most with skills to use in the real world and in everyday life. He was the teacher that believed in his students. He wasn’t one of those teachers that lets you get by with things, but really made you work for your grade. He was proud to call us his students. He’s a one of a kind that truly can’t be replaced. I know Mr. Madison will be missed by many!
